HEROS Regina Keeps Growing

Earlier this summer we announced our new Super HEROS program opening in Regina this fall and we are just as excited to announce the opening of a new Regina HEROS program!  Regina will be our 22nd program across Canada and the 10th city HEROS calls home. HEROS has a close relationship with Regina as it’s the hometown of our NHL Ambassador Tyler Bozak.

The Regina HEROS chapter will work in partnership with the North Central Family Centre and in close collaboration with school based Dream Brokers to help bring this program to Regina’s North Central neighbourhood. This free program will provide deserving youth from local schools access to a weekly after school hockey program throughout the winter hockey season.

“We hear from schools and communities across Canada asking for HEROS to open a program in their city. Regina was the city we would hear from the most. With the help of NexGen Energy, we were finally able to make it happen,” describes HEROS founder Norm Flynn. “Being in Saskatchewan is a natural fit for HEROS as many of our volunteers across the country have proud ties to the province. The game of hockey is deeply rooted within communities and Regina is known for its caring heart and community spirit.”
